Dental Health Knowledge Improvement about Malocclusion After Oral and Dental Health Empowerment at Miftahul Ulum Melirang Islamic Junior High School, Melirang Village, Bungah District, Gresik

Background: Malocclusion is one of dental health problem that may affect the oral in adolescences. The education delivered expected to be able change behaviour individuals or communities from unhealthy healthy behaviour. Purpose: To increase knowledge health, especially level malocclusion by means empowerment at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Melirang Junior High School, Gresik. Methods: A total 100 junior high school children grade tenth, eleventh, twelfth were included study. Data was collected instructing participants fill out a pre-test questionnaire on Google drive, then teledentistry conducted and ended filling post-test determine for evaluation empowerment. Results: main good (50%), moderate (40%) low (10%). Knowledge about only 40% who have malocclusion, others are enough reach 20% other respondents 40%. After program, participant regarding enhanced. Conclusion: performed successfully increased teachers still less than optimal so it necessary carry socialization actions impact malocclusion.
